Consortium

The FunctiGlass consortium brings together 20 academic and industrial partners from 9 countries to advance research in high-tech materials for lasing, sensing, and biomedical applications. It unites top universities and research institutes with leading companies in optics, photonics, and advanced manufacturing. Through the Horizon Europe Joint Doctorate program, 11 PhD candidates will receive interdisciplinary training across academic and industrial settings. The goal is to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and the development of next-generation functional glass technologies. This strong collaboration ensures a dynamic exchange of knowledge and the emergence of skilled experts for Europe’s competitive materials sector.
