FunctiGlass is a European research and training program bridging academia and industry to develop next-generation glass technologies for light, sensing, and biomedical applications. Funded by Horizon Europe, it trains 11 PhD candidates through a joint doctorate involving 20 institutions across 9 countries. Each candidate benefits from interdisciplinary supervision and hands-on experience in both academic and industrial settings. The goal: to shape future leaders in advanced functional glass materials.
